PLAYS

Nu Visions of Excellence Theatre Company is currently accepting the following: full lengths, one-acts, concept pieces, one-person shows, musicals, hip- hop musicals/plays, adaptations as well as scripts for and by young people.

 

Submissions must include a cover letter, author's biography, entire script with short synopsis and character break down.  Scripts will only be returned if a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope) is included in your packet.

 

Preliminary Submission Guidelines:

  • Works must be unpublished 
  • Works should be Copywritten {Visit www. copywright.gov for more info}
  • Works must be typed in 12 font and submitted on white 8 ½ x 11 paper
  • Plays and musicals must be typed in block format
  • Musicals must include entire book and tape/CD
  • Plays MUST be mailed via USPS mail. You may email only in addition to regular snail mail , NOT as an alternative.

 

 We will respond as promptly as possible, but please allow 4 weeks for a response to your initial inquiry, and 8-10 weeks for script consideration.

HEADSHOTS & RESUMES

NuVOE is committed to providing opportunities for new career artists and seasoned veterans alike to continuously develop their craft. To that end we welcome headshot and resume submissions openly.

Requirements:

  • Headshots must be in 8x10 or 8 1/2x11 format on glossy finish paper
  • Resume should be printed on or neatly secured to the back of the headshot. (no loose resumes)
  • A personal bio, not to exceed one page should accompany your H&R. This is a bio telling more about you as a PERSON not as an actor so no need to list your theatre credits. Think of it more as a cover letter.
  • Electronic H & R submissions are also acceptable. They must be standard JPG, JPEG, or PDF files.
  • Color or B/W submissions are acceptable.
